Yes, I read about that brutal rape incident in India. Terrible. Wrt that "education" post... it relates to a specific finding that fertility rates of Iranian women living in rural areas fall drastically among those of them who learn how to read. I kind of extrapolated it to the Afghans and the Talibs. If you check the couple of previous posts in that conversation, you'll see. The central question of that Spengler's book is about demographics and fertility issues. Makes a surprisingly interesting read.
