Some beautiful & wonderful ways the elements come together under the pressures of rising mountains & shifting earths below thru millions of years.

The average person rarely sees minerals & gems as they're discovered in the host rock, or have much comprehension of all expressions as nature combines these elements under varying conditions.Just plain rocks, brumar says, as if he knows shit about anything. Tourmalina always has been one of my faves , everybodys fave actually, just makes you wonder what other amazing combinations nature came up early on billions of years ago. There are variations upon variations depending where you are & that local geology, China & Russia are still finding new combinations every year.

What these mineral combinations tell a story (for us gemologists) of is much greater than we know, speaks of how Nature produces some extremely pristine creations in her laboratory, very rare but there they are none the less precious to the eye & imagination. You wouldn't dream of cutting this up, maybe some would but would be unthinkable to a world of collectors for leaving it just like this in the matrix as undmaged as possible is the ultimate. (happy new year!)

With gold flakes this piece would jump 3-4k immdiately & be world class stunner...

Of the mineral wonders of Nature , the Smithsonian has prolly the world's finest Tourmaline specimens but these blue indgo capped watermelons below from some mines down in San Diego are some of the best true mind blowers.

This is better & more fun to see than any fireworks display ever made, better than riding on the Space Shuttle for some have held these in my hands and you still just can't believe it, like holding a crystalized rainbow in your hands & that magical.

(Pure magic, made by Nature not Walt Disney )
