My younger brother mentioned to me that WE were in a sort of a "gang" when we were teenagers, in response to a comment about gangs I made. And we were, sort of. We were in a gang of early hippie drug users in our high schools.

But we weren't part of a nationally organized criminal organization that carried guns and killed people in drive-by's and other crimes. We didn't wear "colors" that identified us to others. Night and day.
