I don't need an assault weapon to go hunting with my son
That's why the AR platform is so great - insert a 5 round magazine and it works fine for hunting, no extended magazine hanging up on things and if there are hunting regulations on number of rounds - it works. Then by swapping magazines it makes an awesome home protection gun and you only have to buy one rifle.
