Obama did not name Krugman or Stiglitz. Stiglitz was Obama's primary economic adviser and the most referenced economist in the world. Krugman is #4.

So you want to argue Summers and Geithner were better picks? Summer's is a creep and made Volker run his memo's through him and insulted some female economists. Obama picked them not for their ideas, but for their willingess to be compliant, their political certitude of not rocking the boat.

The reason Obama did not appoint Krugman and Stiglitz, IMO, is that they would rock the boat (loose cannons) by wanting to take the too big to fail banks apart and fight for a larger stimulus. Obama did not want those fights. They are not radical, they are correct, but the right wing hates them and would figth them.

Look what they did to Elizabesth Warren!

The top 5 banks now control something like 85% of all the banking in the country. they need to be taken apart. They threaten the financial stability of the world as they are like the MIC sooooo powerful.

<<It's not the TRUTH! I appreciate you guys having this godlike fixation on everything Krugman says, but there are reasons he is not a part of Obama's government. Those reasons are he is extreme in his positions and if we had to follow Krugman we would would likely be in real trouble. Probably in fact Romney would now be our President had Obama followed his advice!

Krugman is not God. He has an opinion and it has more weight than many because the NYTimes has given him such an opportunity to express his ideas. But that doesn't make him any more truthful than Krathammer is at the other extreme. They are just opinions - NOTHING MORE.
