I did budgets. That is how I got my foot in the door. I needed work and everyone was afgraid of budgets, so when I got a temporary consulting job reviewing grants with the Office of alcoholism I learned the budget and so they had to keep me on and found places for me.

Our state is very efficient, but then we were set up by liberals-lol.

The whole Iraq war- waste. How much money is that? Oh right, with black ops we don't even know.

There's a ton of waste in Washington. Problem is, no one really wants to fix it. The republicans say "Starve the beast"- but they don't mean that, not when the beast is some stupid pork in their district or the department of defense. If the "beast" is the poor then they don't give a shit.

We are stuck with a lousy system of government, and to some extent the right wingers are correct when they say greed has captured the system- unfortunately the right wingers appear unable to find mirrors, so when they think of hogs getting fat on the government, they don't see themselves. Some of the biggest porkers are republicans. (And that's one reason I think some sort of cliff job gets done.)
