I do know about Alaskan king crab. I flew into Kodiak to visit a processing plant for crab 22 years ago.

In 1980 my late husband worked for NEFCO, New England Fish Co. that sold king crab, alaskan salmon and those little itty bitty shrimp to restaurants. This 150 year old company was sent to bankrupcty virtually overnight when the interest rates spiked to 20% that March. Companies that sell seafood would borrow cash to pay for the catches, fishermen are very distrustful of credit. This was the beginning of my education in markets.

Happy New Year to you Koan. MP
