Does anyone doubt that the rise in the S&P over the past year would have been attributed to the extraordinary and innate "wisdom of the market" in discerning ahead of time that Romney would be the winner?

Absolutely. It's really fun to watch the market worshippers go on and on about the wisdom of anticipation in stock prices.
