I agree. Krugman is an armchair quarterback. In the real world, Tom Brady has to at times find a secondary receiver, throw the ball away or take a sake.

Well, yes, but this wasn't one of those times. This was like Brady having Wes Welker wide open down the field for a possible touchdown and choosing to throw to Aaron Hernandez for a first down instead.

When I watch the NFL pre-game shows there are three kinds of people there: very experienced journalist anchors, very successful ex-coaches and very successful ex-players. Some in the Hall of Fame and others destined to be.

They never bring on someone who never played the game to pontificate about how today's NFL starters should play it. Rightly so, it's absurd. Just listen to any call-in sports talk show on the radio.
