" Don't be an idiot......guns are available from nearby Chicago and are easily obtained.....Connecticut has strict gun laws but right across the border in Vermont it's almost the wild west....just go and pick one up, you can cross the entire state of Conn. in a couple of hours.. I will give you the assurance that the gov. will protect you far better than you can protect you. NYC has very tough gun laws and it's murder rate is now it's lowest in history....most of the civilized world has very strict gun laws and their murder rates are a weak fraction of ours... with 300 million guns and few restrictions. nytimes.com
