I'm sure that's true- I know the supermarket ham is disgusting.

But I don't buy it, so I don't worry too much about it. It's not like good meat is that expensive- we Foster Farms chicken occasionally, which is not organic, but has a culture we like, and has tested pretty well (you can find independent lab tests of FF chickens):

It's like 1.19 a pound at Costco for big packs of thighs- which we love. I curry them. I stew them. I make them in to chicken chilli. I roast them with herbs de provence. There's no end to the things you can do with chicken thighs.

Costco has great organic chicken too- but we tend to switch off. I also buy their organic beef and buffalo, and their lamb and the Niman ranch pork products.
