Hi E how are you?
My wife works in a school. the very worst parents are those whose kids can do no wrong. They are also the worst kids. If my kid acted like a punk I would call them on it. My daughter called her Music/drama teacher by his last name and we had a problem. I would not allow her to disrespect her teacher even though she said that's what everyone calls him. It might be a small thing, but small things add up.

My calling them punks was descriptive of their behavior. God does know their hearts, I do not. There are several instances in the bible where God seems to make an example of certain individuals by causing their deaths. This is the prerogative of a Holy God. The sheer fact that he does not hold you and I to the same standard, but shows us mercy should not be cause for us to celebrate or to assume His mercy will always prevail. I have heard many an Atheist say "if God exists let him strike me down now" then mock when he chooses not to. Now he is mocked because He does. Hard to win with that kind of standard.
Have a good evening.
How is your daughter?
Greg

(Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NLT)

"If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her."

Don't be so crazy! There is no rape in the bible!! What are you talking about. This is ssssssoooooo CONFUSING!!!

Is that supposed to be an example of "God commanding rape in the bible"?

What a PHONEY!
