I agree but think it very unlikely. I'm going with the argument, at least for the moment, that the fiscal cliff process is likely to be repeated--go to the wall, negotiations in the senate which provide cover for the house, and then bipartisan votes in the house. If that doesn't happen and Boehner refuses to talk with Obama and Obama won't budge on the debt ceiling, which he certainly shouldn't, then all bets are off.

Given what happened with the fiscal cliff stuff, it seems to me reasonable to expect a last minute deal to avert the debt ceiling crisis. But, with this House Republican caucus, all bets are off.
