This most likely will not be true for the coming years. KO has a top-notch brand name yes, but one must differentiate the company from the stock. KO is simply a great company which I would not buy now even if it fell 30%; it still would be too expensive. KO has beeen able to grow their eps consistently in part by buying and reselling their bottlers, giving them a growth rate in the mid-teens. Without this activity, their actual growth is near single digits. IMO, this would be akin to factoring in AMAT's litigation awards and calling them earnings. If I were a betting man, I would bet that AMAT will beat KO over the next 2, 5 and 10 year time horizons. KO (and the other large multinationals) desperately need a rest IMO and one of these days Wall Street will realize that you don't pay ANY PRICE for excellent branding with steady growth.
