CompUSA has had them here for over a week and they are selling very well. Will probably purchase one for work soon.

I wasn't pessimistic about Syquest. I'm slowly getting to be, though.

I am (getting to be was) considering buying a Sparq, but it seems their phones still say "we're on Thanksgiving holiday" (a week later?) and so far the only reply I've been able from tech support or sales is automated email or nothing. Not very encouraging should I get a Sparq and then have a q or two. Feels like a company stretched pretty thin.

How do you know the Sparq is selling well? I've only heard very few comments from people who've actually found a store with them.

>>A lot of the pessimism on this thread seems unjustified. The SparQ is selling well and SyJet sales are exceeding management's expectations.<<

JeffM -

I'm not sure you can say that SparQ is selling well, when it hasn't yet shipped in quantity. The product hadn't reached New York yet as of Monday, from what I saw at three of the largest computer stores.

BTW, I spoke to a sales rep at MicroWarehouse about removable storage just the other night. He said that SyJet sales have picked up since they started offering the deal for the extra cartridge, and that now they sell better than Jaz.

He had no SparQs in stock, but expected them within two weeks.
