At least Apple doesn't do "stack ranking" of their employees. No wonder MSFT has been mired in mud, with flat performance over the last 12 years. Exactly. MS has (or had) extremely talented people that they throw tons of money at and then they promote in-fighting competition when the fighting and competition should be from external and they should be promoting solidarity, cohesiveness and cooperation (perhaps not the most appropriate words, but you know what I mean). A house divided and all that. I mean really - the most valuable asset is your people and they do the high tech equivalent of cock fighting with the employees. Apologies in advance if that prompted unpleasant imagery :-)
