you are quite right. This is why I stressed the TEND in "buys tend to be more significant". I do have observed savvy sales by insiders in the past (Micro Wharehouse e.g.).

Generally, I think an insider may have more reasons to sell than to buy.

Actually, with the talk of "Asian slowdown" there have been quite many sales in quite many tech companies in recent weeks.
