Thanks Michal, and I totally agree with mchjc...

In the 10+ years we've been doing this work in Vietnam, I have witnessed absolute miracles. Good intentions can often go wrong, but we've seen them go very right, also. In ways I never really thought about before.

In the village of Long Cat, we've helped them by building 4 classroom buildings at their Buddhist run school. When the school lost funding for the teachers, and hot meals program, we took that on too...the school was just to successful to let die.

When we started helping the school, I was hoping kids would get the most rudimentary education, and be able to function in life. Well, the last time I was there, I witnessed them doing fairly advanced algebra, and doing proofs! The kids explained to us that now that they understand math, they told their parents they were being ripped off at the market...so now the kids are becoming savvy traders, and the family income has gone way up!

School is held at night because the kids work in the fields during the day.....but the school building function as day care and kindergarten during the day....so not only are kids getting into school early, both parents are free to work, that's been a huge economic gain, also.

It's been amazing to watch! Thanks to those, like you, that have supported us.

On the run...having breakfast with a great supporter of CTH.. )
