I don't have any information to contribute. I looked over the 1-minute chart, and the level 2 quotes and the my news sources. I can find no particular meaning or pattern. We're still in the same trading range. Apparently ODAC is still too far away. I have had several opportunities to sell off part of my enormous DEPO stake at 15 1/4, but I think this would be my most stupid investment move of 1997. Apparently DEPO is not presenting at the BARS conference on December 1-4 (based on today's price action). This is interesting because I got an e-mail from somebody who said he was an independent trader, claiming this to be the case. But I could never get a second source confirmation. In retrospect I am glad I took the trouble to attempt to confirm it before presenting it as the truth. It is more interesting to speculate about why somebody would send me this. One would think it was just an honest mistake, but this guy said that BARS was actively buying a lot of the stock last week, yet I could not detect them on my level 2 quotes after market hours. Oh well. How many people do you know who can take three paragraphs to say "I don't know". It is a good thing that SI doesn't charge by the word. Best Regards, Tom D
