I'd prefer to live in a pristine society based on love and hope ... as a naive youth I thought I'd find it on a a hippie commune. Forty years later I have to bow to the truth, we are a-holes but decent people make an honest effort to rise to the occassion and live according to principles of honor and decency. Face the facts, we are born into a condition of emnity for one unto another... brother to brother/group to group/demographic against demographic/nation to nation. Whether you are wearing a tie die outfit or a grey suit doesn't mean much to me. The character of a Liberal Dem or a conservative Rep can be just as fouled up ... or not. Character is what counts with me. There are getto knights living in gang culture, there are white collar demons in the midst of corporate culture. The cut of your suit doesn't reveal all that much to me. The type of character I experience in these "discussions" does. I would prefer people dont even declare their dem or rep affiliations but I know that is an unrealistic expectation. best regards, one_less
