It appears that your argument is that since republican politicians have enacted economically damaging policies that I shouldn't bitch about democrats trying to destroy our economy.

Your raison d'etre seems to be about attacking republicans because you perceive them to be hypocrites. You don't seem to give a damn about liberal hypocrisy, which would be more relevant considering that the democrats are and have been in power while at the same time having the press covering for them.

There isn't a republican who doesn't recognize that the republican party is screwed up. I saw a headline talking about the divisiveness in the party still being very evident. Hell, the Tea Party is a direct result of the dissatisfaction that economic conservatives have with the republican party.

What you don't seem to understand is that we do know that there are problems with the republican party, but that the shortest route to a constitutionally true party is through the republican party. Obviously it won't be through the democrats. And the Libertarian party (in spite of my 29 year membership) is filled with a bunch of political idiots who will never accomplish anything meaningful within the confines of the party. The best strategy is for the non-crazy small "L" libertarians to remove the progressive republicans out of the republican party and the democrats out of office.

Where republicans aren't stopping the move to a progressive government, they aren't stepping on the gas quit so hard. So those who self-identify as republicans in many (if not most) cases do not necessarily worship every move that every republican politician makes.

So instead of assuming that you know the nuances of every republican's beliefs, you should look a bit deeper into what the best path away from the progressive government is. Maybe you can actually post something constructive instead of trying to post "gotchas"

The problem is that neither party or the media have any interest in the banking scandal. Their tentacles must penetrate every aspect of our society.
