I was reading that Hotel capacity is very constrained. I don't buy it, but that's what they are saying. Over Thanksgiving and Christmas, both hotels I stayed at had plenty of available capacity. The jerkoffs like to pretend they are capacity so they can rip everyone off for the Holidays. Car rental prices over Christmas were beyond offensive - something bordering on criminal. I mean that very seriously, you can't remove all of your vehicles from inventory and then jack up the rate 5 fold suggesting that it's down to supply and demand. National Car rental charged me $200 a day for 4 days over Christmas for a Chevy Cruz vs Hertz at $40 a day over Thanksgiving for a SUV. That is fraud.
