Stop being so dishonest! Sandusky is a misfit like you are. Solon was a celebrated leader who is respected and revered for his morality and for being the Father of Democracy and one of the Seven Great Sages! If Solon or Plato or Socrates or Aristotle had any same sex love (and I presume they all did…as it was normal in their culture to do so)--it would have been entirely legal and with the consent of their fathers. As it states in the symposium (and as most modern scholars attest): "the universal sentiment is simply in favor of these connections, and no one, whether young or old, has anything to say to their discredit” Gregoree, you are conflating current social standards with those in effect in an ancient civilization. Just as same sex love is legal and moral now--so it was legal and moral then. Don’t you get it, Chump? The difference is that young men in that time required the consent of the father for intimate relationships while now consent is defined by age--country to country. Why are you so angry, Zeus? The rest of the world respects and honors Plato, Socrates, Euripides, Solon, Aristotle, et al. Why do you have this intense rage and fascination with the sexual mores of an ancient culture? Must be a reason?? Look within!! ;-)
