you make a really important point. the people that think there are too many people on the planet are making a huge mistake. the more people that are working in this world, the easier all our lives become. cut the population to 35,000,000 and life would become MUCH more difficult. of course the key is that nearly everyone has to have some kind of 'useful' employment (not government jobs) for the standard of living to keep rising.

Not to mention that all of the evil industries are pretty much mandatory to support all the population boom that the liberals have encouraged through entitlement programs and lax immigration policies.

I brought up the potash/phosphate mining issue because the Sierra Club has sued several phosphate mines in Florida to stop the mining. If we stop mining phosphates used in fertilizer, we simply would not be able to grow enough fruits and vegetables to sustain our population. It's simple physics.

And that's not even addressing what happens if we eliminate coal mining and nat gas fracking (and of course drilling for oil).

The progressive vision is very cold with a lot of hungry people.
