you appear to oppose holding crooked ceo's repsonsible for their actions. That is elevating corporations above the law.

There is no place where you can even come close to twisting my words to indicate what you say that I have said.

I strongly believe in holding CEOs responsible for their actions. But we should be talking about actions that are illegal. If there is no law on the books that covers the action that a CEO has done, then it isn't elevating the corporation above the people. It is simply following the law. You've heard of the rule of law, haven't you? It's different than a system of punishment that is based on who Broken_Clock thinks is a bad guy.

I think that corrupt real estate agents are assholes for selling properties to people who they knew would never be able to pay the mortgage. But if they haven't broken a a specific statute, then my recourse is limited to thinking they are an asshole.

But in Broken_Clocktopia if I think that the corrupt real estate agent is an asshole, then I can put him in jail or otherwise punish him just because I think he is an asshole, not because he has broken a specific law.

My point in the earlier posts was that the system was set up by the people in power. The people in power are the government officials/politicians. Without them, the corporations would have no power. It had nothing to do with relieving CEOs of their responsibility. Again, I ask you to read what is written rather than fabricating views that I don't hold and then attributing them to me.
