I personally feel that nothing is more important to me than the protection of my family..... and that you think that the idea of protecting our families and loved ones is a lame excuse to own a gun could only come from a very politically charged mind. It is obvious that the question disturbed you a lot..because you are not in a position to protect your family should the occasion arise...and even for you I hope this never happens.

Maybe you're right. The police and sheriffs and deputies don't carry guns for protection either, because as you pointed out, that doesn't work and is phoney. Sarcasm now turned off.
