Chicago already has very strict gun laws. The problem is that they're not enforced. Chicago has a unique violence problem...but in any case, it makes no sense to me to leave gun control in the hands of the states....the result is that we have states with strict controls and little chance of enforcement, partly because the problem has become overwhelming and partly because of liberal gun laws in neighboring states. BTW, I have done a lot of business in Japan...it's no police state. Al
