And here I thought our government was a constitutional republic whose constitution doesn't say a damn thing about wealth redistribution.



Yes, the original US Constitution didn't say anything about that, but it has been modified by amendments (income tax amendment), legislation, and the courts.

Mostly though we can't seem to stop voting ourselves bennies.
