The CRA was written by? liberals.. signed into law by the liberal bush. so what? many so-called republicans are liberals. most of them are. snowe of maine was rated more liberal than harry reid! and she was a 'republican'. you don't see that the CRA was government intervention?? The CRA did cause the real estate bubble. it was caused and fueled by many factors. yes, there were other causes. the first cause, without which the bubble could never have started, was greenspan holding interest rates so low. cheap money was looking for a place to go and government helped it along into housing. but the original point was that government was forcing loans that shouldn't have been made. government was the problem. powerful government creates corruption.
