The only thing I doubt or think is discounted in these discussions is that the iPhone is still about the ecosystem

I am in total agreement. I also think that which ever company gets to our living rooms and wallets faster than the others will be the winner. Apple, I believe, has a strong chance in getting both the wallet and the living room quickly in their ecosystem.

One thing we all know is that mobile is still growing and it is a good niche to be in and the beauty about capitalism is that we have the choice to buy shares in Apple, Google, etc, and perhaps even the plastic copy cat Samsung. And I guess the big question is should we consider mitigating the risk by investing in some of these other names?
