So yes, the barometer will indicate how much change in altitude there is when moving up or down an escalator, but it will not indicate how much lateral movement there was. The detection of lateral movement must be accomplished by other means.

I would very much like to see some results on the indoor positioning.

I am debating another purchase, but not based on marketing promises.
