(Report from NYC area - responses by rep)

<<..network difficulties both with the the telephone and direct connect features... blind spots (exits 31 to 35 on the LIE)...moreover the problems have mushroomed over the past 6 months as the number of subscribers have increased.>>>

"Impossible for blind spots from exits 31-35 on LIE. Might possibly have hit a blind spot for a minute or so, but not from the large area mentioned. NYC area is prime location for Nextel and have increased cell sites from 140 (February 1997) to 283 today (double). Adding six cell sites per month.
No bandwidth problem now and none foreseen in the future. 99 1/2% of country in 800Mhz frequency now. Constantly buying small Mom & Pop operations for increased capacity. In addition, effective 1/1/98 will no longer offer analog services, thereby increasing capacity. Present analog users will have to use digital or use another service."

Confirm $40 base rate.

Keep the faith!
