Tomi provides copious amounts of useful smartphone historical data. He does seem to get a little bent out of shape when it comes to publicly disparaging Elop and Nokia.though and your comment about his having worked in NOK's marketing department provides the "missing piece" for me when reading his analysis. Like most, he does not factor in the significance of Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) division (whose Q3 revenues of $3.5B = that of its Devices & Services division) to NOK's overall performance. Additionally, he, imo, vastly underrates the importance of the MSFT's contribution in developing a 3rd competitive ecosystem.
