Headline: Dell (NASDAQ:DELL) cuts prices on some PC'S, laptops

======================================================================
ROUND ROCK, Texas, Dec 3 (Reuters) - Dell Computer Corp
said on Wednesday that it was reducing prices by up to 14
percent in the United States on some models of its Dell
OptiPlex personal computers with Intel Pentium II processors.
"As component prices fall, Dell's short inventory cycle
allows us to pass price adjustments on to our customers
quickly," said president of Dell Americas Kevin Rollins in
relation to the price drop.
Specifically, Dell said its OptiPlex GXaM was reduced 14
percent to $3,163 from $3,674. Its OptiPlex GXaL was reduced
10.6 percent to $2,096 from $2,346, the company added.
Dell also cut prices by more than 10 percent on some
models of its two new lines of notebook PCs, Dell Latitude CP
and Dell Inspiron.
