This kid was a big hero to the left. Black civil rights groups backed him. When he got out, even though he was a cop killer, he went to the University of DC Law School. How exactly could a cop killer go to law school? The Washington Post wrote loving articles about him, giving him an inordinate amount of attention. While he was 'going to law school' and being promoted as God's gift to humanity by the Washington Post he was robbing banks in other parts of Maryland with his brother, the same brother he had been caught breaking into washing machines with when he was 15. Their technique was to brutalize their victims in the banks they robbed. Then when he was caught in the alley after one of their bank robberies, he couldn't face the idea of being exposed as a criminal, letting down the black civil rights groups that honored him and the Washington Post that promoted him so heavily. So he shot himself in the alley. The Washington Post, which had given him so much space, hardly mentioned his demise. This was a disaster for the left, which had made him and his 'cause' a big part of their agenda even beyond the DC area. The black "civil rights" lawyer who had gotten him out pf prison spoke to the press and made up a bald faced lie--saying the police had killed him. But his own brother contradicted that, saying no, he shot himself. The left just loved him. After all, he killed two white cops. What more could you ask for? The left PR machine never addressed the fact that the two cops lost their lives. They didn't exist in the left's view.
