It's because they're clustered together very closely... that may be due to just a higher number of interpersonal interactions, but it seems now that it very well might be that the density also causes more things that negatively affect proper brain function to accumulate in the bloodstream. It's interesting stuff, but the statistics are pretty strong. Worth a read. It surprised me a lot.

You cited "population density". Every apartment building and townhouse community then must be firearm homicide zones. They are not. Only in cities over 250K where all the leftists live.

Nope. It is higher in the big cities, but it's no longer THAT much higher.
