< if you enjoy strong-willed women, you will like it over here at the Feelings thread!>

Ah...GREAT..."Hit me, beat me...make me write bad checks." <ggg>

Seriously, I like all women, but have a great repoir with those who are strong willed. I have worked for numerous men and only 2 women... ironically I made some of my greatest strides working for the ladies (one had a very subtle, gentle approach and the other was VERY strong and determined...I miss them both!)

The "rougher" part of town needs to be put in its proper perspective. I apologize if I made it sound more dramatic than it was. Our city was only 25,000-30,000 people...but...all things being relevant I lived in an area affectionately referred to as "below the hog line." It was the 50s and 60s, there were gangs, drunks, hookers, etc that lived all around us. My parents owned a small grocery store (I became rich there at .50/hour) and did their best to keep us from being overly exposed to some of these individuals. On the other hand it was not the streets of Detroit, Chicago, New York, etc, etc.

My brushs with the law were nothing compared to kids in the large cities. I did have freinds/aquaintences who went to jail for attempted murder, drug dealing, etc. but they were more of the exception to the rule. I'd go on, but, I think you'd find my story more like a "Norman Rockwell" painting than a "Pulp Fiction" movie...and I don't want to put y'all to sleep.

Now...my DAD overcame adversity. One of 10 children, an alcholic father who didn't mind roughing up his wife and they all lived in a two bedroom home. I was blessed to have him as my father...he brought NONE of those tendancies with him...and all with less than an 8th grade education. He's got the stories!

<I would assume men are the other great creation? >
In my book..."yes"...I wouldn't have wanted to be another woman... Besides, as the joke goes "God created Adam first...and then when He got it right...he created Eve." <ggg>
