I think you were the smarter one, I would have no problem holding the short side as a hedge over the weekend... for Monday, we would need a close below 1455.00, and for Tuesday, just looking ahead, we would need a close below 1461.90, that's not all that far from where the market is now... I think time is running out and according to Carl Swenlin, a market tech guy for whom I have the greatest respect, says he thinks a significant market top may well occur within another week or two at most... Message 28658821 The only remaining higher VP is at 1467.80, that's not too far from today's close... another 9 point rally on Monday, if we're lucky enough to get one, then I'm going flat all stocks and will sit it out until I get the next clear signal which will be a sell signal... GZ

I just now a minute ago made an amazing discovery... I'm also still short my SP hedge... I just check my account to see what I have and I noticed that my limit order to sell the SPXU was only very partially filled, in fact only 1% of the quantity was closed out, so I'm still kind of hedge although more long than short over all... go figure... I left the house to run some errands immediately on the 4 pm close and just presumed that my complete limit order was filled... frankly, I do feel better now knowing I have some hedge... we're still sitting at a VP and with another major VP not far away... I think we'll see some selling soon enough... GZ
