Remember one time he was so loaded he lost his picks. Kottke without picks is like another guitarist without fingers. Lots of musicians hung out at the place, and one happened to have some. He would just pound drinks the whole time he was playing, could barely talk, but his playing was flawless. A real prodigy.

Saw Muddy Waters at the Quiet Knight a bunch. Didn't know, but Sprintein and Bob Marley both played there early in their careers, missed that dream. The "house band" was great played every Wed if i remember right:



Enough nostalgia... Got to get some stuff done today.

I've seen Leo several times, he puts on a fantastic show....beautiful voice, too.

Never saw Leo Kottke live. But love his stuff to this day!
