Hey guy, you drill though 400 feet of a structure and you are not hitting the foliations at less than 45 degrees to the core axis, who
cares about true width? It ain't that big a deal. The structures here
are dependent on intrusion brecciation. The can easily tell the dip of the beds from surface exposure which shows lateral and vertical dimension. They are isoclinally folded and near vertical. Breccia boundaries are variable so "dip" is not a big deal.

I have drilled lots of complex formation. I will admit you can hit tough stuff anywhere, but the Archean beats all when it comes to orientation, young sediments are usually easier to figure.

Two holes in the same plane which crosscuts the orebody give you the dip. I will bet you based on guess work I can give you the dip of most structures that are surface exposed by one hole, stepping out on strike 100 feet and drilling another one. I have done it lots. Go to the core boxes to hit the shear zone by the numbers. No bigga deal bubbie.

I can read these guys' progream like I was on site. There is no big surprise in the ore. There are tons of models. Engineering and Mining Journal, Yanacocha.

She's a long program, tough drilling and bad bad gold price. It's also a mine.

In gold you don't cry when you miss. So its lensy. So is the Homestake. I will take it with jam on the side.
