The plan after that was to keep that stimulus budget in place forever and ever by not passing a budget afterwards and depending on Continuing Resolutions of the SAME bloated budget from 2009. That is what is really going on. Yes, but this is just the fall-back plan. What he really wanted was to raise taxes to the max, and spend that all on entitlements that would assure his re-election forever. He's still hoping for that. Or something similar. Watch him try for a third term through one subterfuge or another. Fall-back on that is to run his wife. And because a cheap-oil driven US economic boom can be expected in the next few years, for which he will take credit, he may well have at least an even-money chance of getting that third term, or more. There is big trouble ahead IMHO. /Taro
