It must be legal to do so, after all we seceeded from Great Britain. If our secession was illegal, then our last 237 years is a complete lie. Obviously we seceeded from Great Britain, using the Declaration of Independence to do it, so secession HAS to be legal for States as well. Precedent is set in stone by the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration isn't on prominent display in the National Archives because it's a fraud and a lie that doesn't support the legality of secession.
