Of course I see the danger koan... I have been pointing out the massive out of control spending by the massive out of control government to you and your response is you want more and larger government.

That and your love of Krugman.

And, as always, you have failed to back up what you posted in the first place.

People protecting their private property is not any indication of a police state.

That is what the Founding Fathers had in mind for their country.

Timely real life gun ownership news: Son in law used a shotgun to kill a pitbull that broke their wood fence and killed a chihuahua in their backyard this afternoon. It had bit the chihuahua's head off and had its jaws locked on their other dog - a mixed breed lab / shepherd. Fortunately, the kids weren't in the backyard as it was cold and rainy today. He got their dog (the lab) loose first and got it in the house. Put the kids in the bedroom and called the police. They told him to "take care of it himself." So he shot and killed it. Don't know if the police even showed up onsite. Animal control won't come out apparently so I told him to put it in a big trash bag and put it in the trash.

If my 3 & 5 yo grandkids had been in the back yard and you had your way and my son in law was disarmed, what would have happened?

Don't you dare say anecdotal.
