It's good that Apple finally has some competition for its outrageously high priced products. After all, this is only high tech and gadgets with a very short term life span before something new and better comes out.

Android and the Google OS are no great shakes; the attraction, of course, is the low end price point. A laptop for $249 is nice even if it can't play Netflix movies on it yet (last I checked).

I've never owned an Apple Product because I found the price point to be outrageous. So, I guess I'm not your typical American, thank G-d.

I've had no choice but to buy a couple of Android Phones (through Virgin Mobile) because Android has become the latest fad and there is little choice in cellular phone land these days. I find Android Ok. Outside of web browsing and Internet Radio (Tunelin Radio), I like my Blackberry better, especially for texting, which I do a lot of.

I did buy a Nexus 7 for $199. Why should I buy an IPAD mini for $130 more?

I like open source, even though I'm not a big fan of touch. But I bought a wireless mouse and keyboard and use that at home.

Nice to see Apple caving in and making a cheaper Iphone. That's the way of high tech.
