Agreed. His interest in this sector is more than casual. The investments in AFC, Alter and W2T that came with board seats on the first two means to me that RA & Co. are taking this very seriously. I did some looking around over the weekend and from what I can see, he has been divesting at least part of the industries that built his wealth (oil & gas, aluminum) but these cleantech investments are the only recent investments he has made. Clearly he sees the gasification/fuel cell combination as something that has enormous potential. This is they guy who has to have the biggest yacht in the world, my sense is that he does not set out to do anything that doesn't have the potential to become humungous.
