volume is building and stock is up almost $1 on down day for techs. i checked the options and volume is up there too. anyone have the scoop? my guess (only that) we're close to an announcement on Nortel and the news is leaking. anyone know?

Shiva is holding up well, but the day is not over yet. The danger of owning a more focused company is that,in case of Shiva, if VPN market is not what it's predicted to be, Shiva may be in trouble. 3COM is much more diversified. They have much broader product base. Also, 3COM is in charge of their destiny. I can't say the same about Shiva, at least until a new NT agreement is made public. Right now, COMS is probably more dangerous to hold. Also, Shiva's float is much smaller, so when it starts going up, it will move much faster than a stock with much bigger float. Ed
