Maybe management wants to take Apple private. Keeps going down, maybe to 400 when they pull the trigger. At that time $ 425 seems a good price. After all, doesn't Apple have $ 150B+ in the bank? Watch for the earnings report next week and the more important thing is the guidance. Forget China Mobile, it is not going to happen soon. China Mobile is in control with 700M subscribers and is using a home grown system TDSCDMA. Apple has to yield to CM demands like sharing iTunes, and give CM preferential arrangement. How soon will Apple tweak its iPhone to make it work with TDSCDMA. The longer it waits the more it is left behind. Or will Apple just wait for CM's 4G?

Apple product is far from perfect, and some annoyance has made me wonder about the quality and consistency of the unit. For example, I already posted that I missed many calls due to weak vibration and that the ring is so lame. Now, after having the iPhone just for a few hours, the battery is already low, and that even not playing any video. In terms of consistency: When the I get an incoming call, sometimes I have to slide the arrow the answer the call, and yet, other times there are two bars on the bottom: Decline and Answer. Why is that? Is management aware of those problems? Or they are working to solve that and keep themselves silent?

We already got a 3 for 2 split from the $700 peak. I think a dividend hike is more likely than a split for right now. Maybe a bigger buyback too. If Apple demonstrates a higher return of capital, the shares will be more attractive. More than anything, I would like to see Apple putting new capital to work to build a new line of plastic iPhones at a reasonable cost and reasonable margin.
