Yes, he regrets taking that position esp after seeing what happened the last time they tried to raise the debt ceiling.
No he doesn't regret it at all. It's all political opportunism.

If he doesn't like the other side using the debt ceiling for their agenda, he should just advocate getting rid of it altogether.


Now do you really think the Rs will agree to getting rid of the debt ceiling requirement? Why advocate for something that has no chance of getting passed.
