the blame is placed on the drug, perhaps we should first wonder why they are on the meds in the first place.

Many people die from antibiotics, but no one demands to outlaw their use. But when it comes to mental illness and psych meds, many people tend to become slightly paranoid.... g/ng. But, jokes aside, this reaction is understandable. We are afraid of things that may be strange and unpredictable. The image of yourself - or someone you know - turning into a zombie - is the worst nightmare. Fortunately, that happens very seldom. And meds, if anything, generally help.
