Yes, they were student loans through the university I went to, but that was 30+ years ago, so I can't remember what bank or who loaned me the money. So what are you driving at? Then you were guilty of stealing from the future. Those student loans were subsidized by the gov't thru lowered interest rates. The gov't invested in your future with the hopes that down the road you would return the investment in a number of ways. Its what you and your colleague would call socialism but what I call smart governance. Its what the R pols want to stop.
